We are a three franchise dealership looking for a qualified person to join our Parts Department team. If you work in parts now, we want to hear from you. Starting pay is based on a trainable candidate with little experience. Top pay will very depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in a dealership Parts Department or 2 years in a retail parts store. The position is for a team member to cover all areas of the Parts Department, including Shipping and Receiving, Parts Counter, Retail Sales, Phone Estimates and Sales, Warehouse control, Body Shop parts and Deliveries. Tasks may change daily, depending on the need of the department. Ideal candidate will have good general automotive knowledge and experience looking up parts in parts catalogs. Experience in GM, Mazda or Volvo a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming phone calls.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics knowledge to identify and source correct parts for counter customers and service technicians.
- Shipping and receiving of parts ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track parts inventory and maintenance schedules
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for procurement of parts
- Deliver parts to service technicians as needed.
- Oversee warehouse to ensure efficient storage and retrieval of parts
- Work closely with service advisors to insure proper and timely ordering of needed parts.
_ Deliver parts to wholesale customers, (must have clean driving record)
Skills:
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics to accurately identify parts needed
- Experience with shipping, receiving, and managing inventory in a warehouse setting
- Familiarity with parts process in a dealership setting
- Knowledge of CDK or any other DMS to process orders efficiently
- Ability to source, procure, and manage parts from various suppliers
- Proficient in procurement management practices to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions
